Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, is the premiere debut of the freshest hip-hop trio to hit High Poet Records. Born Rich, Tommy 2 Tone, and Mic-B (yours truly) are set to storm the stage at the American Legion in Bozeman, MT at 11:00 with local DJ Joe Buggs. Admission is free... Moving Sucks, Late Night CodeSo moving sucks. Everyone knows this. Although having a new chill spot is tight, there are tons of gadgets to manage, not to mention effing power supplies and cables for the lot. Reassembling is another journey of itself. Thus, I've been forced to write 95% of my code once the sun has set. This has caused, mysteriously, a block in my head. Code does not flow while the sun shines. But the move is through, and I can concentrate on some real life livin again. Maybe I'll make some music... if I can put the gear together. Hit me up High Poet Records: Show June 26th, 2008Welcome back, kids. I spent some time recently updating the music library at highpoetrecords.com, as well as the artist pages. Everything so far should be linked right, but you should still e-mail your boy Mic-B if you find something out of place or broken. The new show posters are up on the site too, as well as more show information. The jam-fest starts at 9:00 PM at the Mixers club in Bozeman, MT. Door charge is $3.00. Come early, because I won't. Facebook and Getting RickrolledSo I started on my first facebook application, and I have to say, it's definately not as hard as I thought it was gonna be. FBML is well thought out, and although there are some bugs in it, you can still do work. Poinzy app for facebook coming soon! I also uploaded a new video to Poinzy, and installed our very own RickRoll right here at Mic-B.Com! Enjoy your evening. Blam! and Lots of AwesomeSo I was off and running this weekend, slaying some code, when I ran into a hitch. Now, sometimes I just get into these ruts where I know for a fact there's some ridiculously easy to fix bug staring me in the face. And I have to clear my head. Cigarettes won't work. Coffee won't work. Counter-Strike won't work. So what does work? Other code. So I added Blam! and Lots of Awesome. End captain's log. Project Updates (RiVAL)In the past week or so, some serious code has been written. There's a new MLS search in the works for a couple of my clients, I got a new domain up, and there's a bunch of new code in RiVAL. So, basically, you could say that your boy Mike has been busy. On top of all that the Music, Photography, and Design sections are all pretty much ready to be uploaded. I'm still holding off for a bit... I've never been one to jump the gun on personal sites. CDMA Hack for Kyocera KPC680John's Hideaway, a blog that I came across thanks to google, had an article from August 07 that caught my eye today. I recently purchased a Kyocera KPC680 card from Verizon, and have been pissed off at the stupid VZAccess Manager software. The Mono Project finally becomes useful! So, my buddy Rory tipped me off about new developments on the Mono Project front. Apparently they've finally finished all of the WinForm API programming! That's 12,776 methods! Everyone needs to vote.If you haven't voted, or aren't planning on it, you really need to. It's a sad story that I see every day, and often it angers me. A large portion of my generation has grown apathetic in respects to the voting booth. With voting machine problems on the rise and a horribly thought-out electoral college system, part of me can sympathize. Nevertheless, our young people need to be educated. Content UpdatesSo, today I found a few free minutes to update my project list. I added a little program that I wrote a while back called CharGen which used to be quite popular. On top of that, I added a bit of old music and some photos to the high poet records site, which you should probably go join to get free downloads and whatnot and so forth. |
